Shaping My Beliefs
Our beliefs and convictions are not born in isolation. They are the culmination of countless influences—conversations, experiences, and, significantly, the books we read, the lectures we listen to, and the voices we pay attention to. My journey has been shaped by numerous thinkers, writers, pastors, friends and even antagonists.
On the page “Ideological Blueprints” I share with you a collection of preachers, authors, books, and articles that have profoundly shaped my perspectives in all areas of life’s endeavors over the years.
I find a significant alignment with the way these thinkers approach not only their disciplines but also how they navigate the complexities of life. It is my hope that by sharing these influences with you, you might find similar inspiration and guidance in your own journey. I wholeheartedly recommend exploring these resources, as they have been instrumental in shaping the convictions I hold today.”
My Core Beliefs
Below are some links to documents, books and people that share many of my primary theological and cultural convictions. For a much expanded list including my views on various issues related to the intersection of science and faith see my “Ideological Blueprints” page and “What I Believe” page for the core tenets of my beliefs about science as a reformed Christian.
- Westminster Confession of Faith (1647)
- The Five Points of Calvinism (TULIP)
- The Temple and the Church’s Mission: A Biblical Theology of the Dwelling Place of God by G. K. Beale (2004)

The thoughts I have expressed in old writings or videos may have changed over time and thus don’t necessarily represent my current state of thought on some topics. This page and my collective writings and talks represents an opportunity for me to sharpen my own thinking even while sharing some of the knowledge I have gained over 30 years of reading and writing about science and faith..
